Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough physical assessments and monitor patient vitals to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including charting, incident reports, and patient history.
- Emergency Response: Quickly assess and respond to medical emergencies, providing critical care when it matters most.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to hygiene and safety standards to prevent hospital-acquired infections.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (Associate's, Bachelor's, or Diploma).
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the United States (required for NM; eligible for NC licensure).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical technology.
