Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in accordance with hospital protocols and nursing standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications safely and accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop optimal patient care plans.
- Document patient history, assessments, and care plans in Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precision and timeliness.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations, utilizing clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, safety regulations, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Assist in the admission and discharge processes, ensuring a smooth transition for patients.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia (DC).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (New graduates encouraged to apply).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical stamina to perform duties in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and privacy (HIPAA compliance).
