Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by collecting, organizing, and documenting patient information, symptoms, and medical history.
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, strictly following safety protocols.
- Monitor patients' health and progress by observing symptoms and reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Perform emergency interventions and resuscitation procedures when necessary to stabilize patient conditions.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
