Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to state nursing practice acts.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, catheter care, and hygiene assistance.
- Document patient care activities and medical records accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care interventions when necessary.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications as per unit requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality of care standards.
