Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical and mental status to determine appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Monitor patient health and progress by performing frequent vital sign checks and observations.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians and specialists, to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, progress, and treatments in medical records accurately and timely.
- Respond to emergencies and critical situations with calmness and efficiency.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and disease management.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
