Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Administer medications and treatments safely, monitoring patient responses and documenting all interventions accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor vital signs and patient condition, escalating critical issues immediately to the charge nurse or provider.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Provide compassionate end-of-life care and support to patients and their families during difficult times.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and computerized charting systems.
- Candidate must pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment.
