Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, history, and exercise tolerance.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and report significant changes to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and disease management.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume environment.
- Commitment to the highest standards of patient safety and care quality.
