Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical condition, promptly reporting any changes to the charge nurse or physician.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and patient-centered care delivery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred; Associate's degree required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (new graduates with exceptional clinical rotations may be considered).
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
