Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Administer medications and treatments while strictly adhering to safety protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vitals and conditions continuously, responding immediately to any changes or emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit rounds.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or critical care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
