Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Develop and execute individualized nursing care plans using evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and continuity of care
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Document clinical observations accurately in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization
Qualifications
- Current unrestricted RN license in Maryland (or compact state with quick Maryland endorsement)
- BSN degree required; MSN or specialty certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in med-surg, telemetry, or ICU setting
- BLS certification; ACLS and/or PALS required based on department
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development
