Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure accurate health tracking.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient medical histories, symptoms, and responses to treatment in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment to prevent infection and ensure safety.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code blue situations within the department.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oklahoma.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and computer applications.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy and safety.
