Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, formulate, and implement a nursing plan of care based on physical findings, patient data, and medical history.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in accordance with approved nursing procedures and standards.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document patient information, including symptoms, progress, and treatments, accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and critical situations with urgency and competence.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (New grads encouraged to apply).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
