Responsibilities
- Assess patient health issues, needs, and progress by observing, interviewing, and examining patients.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes or adverse reactions to healthcare providers immediately.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, wellness, and self-care management techniques.
- Document patient care services, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
