Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and recognize early signs of deterioration or complications.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Provide patient education and advocacy to ensure informed decision-making.
- Assist in the orientation and mentoring of nursing students and junior staff members.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Ohio.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required for specialized units.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
