Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to safety protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition immediately to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, assessments, and interventions in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Tennessee.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients, families, and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
