Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, meals, or activities using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Assist nursing staff with procedures and prepare examination rooms for patient visits.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations within established protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Current Texas State CNA license in good standing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
