Responsibilities
- Compassionate Patient Care: Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with established medical standards and hospital protocols.
- Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document changes in patient condition accurately and timely.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety guidelines.
- Collaborative Practice: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Communication: Educate patients and families on treatment plans, health management, and discharge instructions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and all state nursing board requirements.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required; PALS preferred based on unit.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and time management skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Technology: Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer technology.
