Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assess patient health status, administer medications, and implement treatment plans under the supervision of physicians.
- Monitor Patient Progress: Continuously monitor vital signs and report any significant changes in patient condition to the healthcare team immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, medications, and home care instructions to promote recovery.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient treatment.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to hospital protocols and hygiene standards to prevent the spread of infection.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Georgia.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; new graduates with excellent academic records will be considered.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic and patient-centered care in high-pressure situations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using medical equipment and electronic health record systems.
