Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the needs of patients in our facility.
- Medication Management: Accurately administer medications and treatments while adhering to strict safety protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborative Care: Partner with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient recovery.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and timely medical records, including charting, incident reports, and patient progress notes.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking skills, proficiency in electronic health records (EHR), and excellent communication abilities.
