Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond immediately to any changes in condition.
- Document patient care services accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to all hospital safety and infection control policies.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
