Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, formulate and implement a nursing plan, and monitor patient progress toward health goals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and report any significant changes or potential complications to the healthcare team immediately.
- Provide compassionate patient education and emotional support to patients and their families during critical times.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, including charting and incident reports.
- Respond to emergency situations with composure and execute appropriate life-saving interventions.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (New graduates may be considered).
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining high standards of patient safety.
