Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and Monitor: Conduct thorough patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the wider healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and detailed electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as an advocate for patients and families, ensuring their needs and concerns are heard and addressed promptly.
- Emergency Response: Respond effectively to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of Washington.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience (Med-Surg or Acute Care preferred).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Technology: Proficiency with electronic health records and medical technology systems.
- Compassion: A strong commitment to patient safety, empathy, and professional integrity.
