Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care in critical care settings utilizing evidence-based practices
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments per physician protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with JCAHO standards
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and health maintenance
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based performance reviews
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to unit training programs
Qualifications
- Active New York State RN license (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years ICU/CCU experience (required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- CCRN certification preferred
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Commitment to continuous professional development
