Responsibilities
- Provide basic bedside care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor patient health status, including recording vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, using walkers, wheelchairs, or hoyer lifts safely.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients in your care.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of California.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Previous experience in long-term care or a hospital setting is preferred but not required.
