Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Hygiene & Safety: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and free from hazards.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team, documenting care plans and updates accurately.
- Medication Assistance: Support patients with medication reminders and administration as directed by licensed staff.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: No prior experience required. A strong desire to learn and a compassionate nature are essential.
- Licensure: Current CNA or Home Health Aide certification (or willingness to obtain within probationary period).
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods; good physical stamina.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Driverβs License: Required for Home Health positions (some facility roles may not require).
