Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in ICU setting including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, EKG readings, and diagnostic test results
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment procedures
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA compliance standards
- Participate in code blue responses and emergency resuscitation procedures
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Louisiana
- BSN degree from accredited nursing program (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years ICU or critical care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure emergency situations
