Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established clinical protocols and physician orders
- Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and document electronic health records accurately
- Administer medications, perform wound care, and assist with therapeutic procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and discharge planning
- Respond to emergency situations using advanced life support techniques
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of New York (NYSED)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years of experience considered
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in acute care or specialty unit
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system and medical documentation software
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments
