Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through history, physical exams, and diagnostic testing.
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Document patient care activities and clinical observations accurately in electronic health records.
- Respond to emergent situations with composure and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience (or equivalent residency).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Candidate must pass a background check and drug screening.
