Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and accurately document medical histories and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and respond immediately to changes in condition or emergency situations.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment for patients and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing rounds to ensure high standards of care.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting (preferred).
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
