Responsibilities
- Provide High-Quality Patient Care: Assess patient health needs, administer medications, and implement treatment plans in accordance with nursing standards and hospital protocols.
- Monitor Patient Status: Continuously observe and record patient conditions and responses to treatment, promptly reporting any changes to the attending physician or charge nurse.
- Collaborative Care: Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care and coordinate with physicians, therapists, and social workers.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough medical records and patient charts in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and administer life-saving interventions when necessary.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health management, and post-care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Florida Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic and patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
