Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings with critical focus on assessment, intervention, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Supervise LPNs and nursing assistants to maintain quality standards
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing with New Mexico Board of Nursing
- ACLS/BLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in relevant specialty
- Strong proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
