Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and licensed healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition or emergencies.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and family members to ensure holistic care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred based on specialty.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
- National certification in a specialty area is a plus but not mandatory.
