Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status, identify needs, and develop appropriate care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and respond swiftly to changes in condition or medical emergencies.
- Document patient care accurately and timely using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge instructions.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred for specialty units.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Proficiency with computer systems and medical software.
