Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, monitoring vital signs and assessing patient conditions to ensure optimal recovery.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established nursing protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and adjust patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, progress, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and home care instructions.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, demonstrating critical thinking and calm under pressure.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kansas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (new graduates with excellent clinical rotations are considered).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy and safety.
