Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on nursing assessments.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document patient care activities, outcomes, and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and medication management.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical care situations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Mexico.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to lift, stand, and exert physical effort for extended periods.
