Responsibilities
- Assess Patient Needs: Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer Medication: Safely and accurately administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor Patient Status: Continuously monitor vital signs and patient conditions, alerting physicians to any changes or emergencies.
- Collaborate with Team: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient documentation.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to code blues and medical emergencies, demonstrating critical thinking and quick action.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatments, and preventative care strategies.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active RN license issued by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Certification: BLS and ACLS certification required; specialty certifications preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Computer Proficiency: Ability to navigate Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems effectively.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
