Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and licensed healthcare providers.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing supervisor or physician immediately.
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, hygiene assistance, and comfort measures.
- Document patient care services, including assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and self-care instructions.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York (or eligibility to obtain).
- Experience: No experience required; new graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
