Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, detecting any changes that may indicate deterioration.
- Document patient care services in medical records in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and initiate appropriate life-saving measures.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred for most units.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of patient volume.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
