Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosage and timing.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, promptly reporting any changes to the healthcare provider.
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, catheterization, and tracheostomy management as required.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting (Med-Surg, Telemetry, or ICU preferred).
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
