Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems, needs, and physical condition through observation, interview, and review of medical records.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, following strict protocols and safety guidelines.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and the patient.
- Monitor patients' conditions continuously and make adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Document all patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide health education to patients and families, ensuring they understand treatment plans and preventative measures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license to practice in the State of Missouri.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- ACLS certification preferred or required depending on unit assignment.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as necessary.
