Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report changes in patient behavior, symptoms, or general well-being to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide support with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility as needed.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies.
- Medication Assistance: Assist patients with medication reminders and administration under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Environmental Care: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and organized.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA License: Must hold a current, active Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Georgia.
- Current CPR Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- High School Diploma: GED or High School Diploma equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
