Job Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of holistic patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and intervene appropriately to ensure safety, comfort, and recovery.
- Document all patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, procedures, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to optimize the care continuum.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Mexico.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
