Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist licensed RNs and physicians with patient care procedures, including wound care and specimen collection.
- Communicate patient status changes and concerns to the nursing team and charge nurse immediately.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their stay.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment in accordance with facility protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Participate in hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing program (ADN, BSN, or ASN) within the last 12 months or currently in the final semester.
- Active RN License issued by the Texas Board of Nursing (or willingness to obtain).
- CPR/BLS Certification is required (we can assist with training).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in patient advocacy.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with electronic medical records.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
