Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and monitoring in accordance with nursing standards and facility protocols.
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient care services using electronic health records (EHR) accurately and timely.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any deviations from normal to the charge nurse or physician.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and disease prevention.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California (preferred) or Virginia.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients as required.
