Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across diverse clinical settings including med-surg, telemetry, and emergency departments
- Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations with precision and adherence to safety protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control standards
- Respond effectively to emergency situations using critical thinking and clinical judgment
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Minnesota (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Completion of clinical rotations or new graduate residency program (no experience required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with commitment to obtain ACLS within 6 months
- Strong communication skills with ability to interact compassionately with patients and families
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to adapt to flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
