Responsibilities
- Assess patient health conditions by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and clinical notes.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
