Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during overnight hours, including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status using critical thinking skills
- Document all care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR)
- Mentor and support nursing staff during night shift operations
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous education programs
Qualifications
- Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BSN degree preferred; ADN with relevant experience considered
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care setting
- ACLS/BLS certification required; PALS preferred
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs during overnight hours
