Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in coordination with interdisciplinary team members.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or licensed nurse practitioners.
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress, and adjust care plans accordingly to ensure optimal recovery.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and disease prevention to ensure compliance and understanding.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and accurate documentation.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate, high-quality nursing interventions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient charts in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting (Med-Surg, ICU, or Telemetry preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Willingness to travel to various locations within Los Angeles as required by staffing needs.
