Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs throughout the night shift.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, and responses to treatment accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and other departments to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations with clinical expertise.
- Assist in developing individualized care plans and providing patient education regarding discharge instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit environment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (3x12 hours or 4x10 hours) as scheduled.
