Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans during night shifts
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions with precision
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond rapidly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care across shifts
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
- Educate patients and families on health management during overnight hours
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety committees
Qualifications
- Active New York State RN license in good standing
- BSN degree preferred (ADN accepted with 2+ years experience)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response abilities
- Excellent communication skills for night shift team coordination
- Ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
